The most common one to be affected is the supraspinatus. People with cuff tears usually have pain radiating down the outside of the arm towards the elbow. Symptoms are usually worsened with reaching overhead or lifting, particularly at arm’s length. Many patients will have pain at night and have trouble sleeping.
